Snoopy, the famous Peanuts character, made his first appearance in a Ripley’s cartoon! As a kid, Charles Schulz looked up to famed illustrator Robert Ripley (both from Santa Rosa, CA) and sent him a drawing of his own. Ripley was so impressed by the illustration that he featured it in a 1937 cartoon.
